■ Agasa

Born and raised in Kyoto, I’ve always loved the ocean.
During my university years, I spent four wonderful years in Hawaii and California.

In the spring of 2025, I renovated my grandmother’s house and opened a small aerial yoga studio in Kyoto.
Every summer, I also teach SUP Yoga at Lake Biwa—and this year marks my 4th season!

Let’s create the best summer memories together!





■ Kanae

I’m a mother of three and a former nursery teacher.
Currently, I work as a yoga instructor in Otsu City, Shiga.

In 2023, I opened a yoga studio with the concept “Keep your mind and body active through yoga”, where you can feel the ocean vibes.
I offer Shiga’s first Surf Yoga, and in April 2025, I also launched a Kids Yoga School.

No matter your age or experience, everyone can enjoy SUP Yoga in their own way!
I look forward to seeing you at Lake Biwa!

Participation Fee

💰 Participation Fee
Payment is required in advance by credit card.

● Regular SUP & SUP Yoga
Adults (Junior high school and older): ¥7,700 per person
Children (6 years old – 6th grade): ¥5,500 per person

● 1-Day SUP & SUP Yoga Sports Festival
→ July 21 (Mon, Public Holiday)
Children (6 years old – 6th grade): ¥6,000 per person
Lunch is not included for children. Please contact us if you would like to arrange lunch for your child.
Adults (Junior high school and older): ¥11,500 per person includes a vegan lunch

Notes for children:
・SUP Yoga can be done by children 6 years and older on a single board.
・Children 10 years and older can paddle on a SUP board by themselves.
・Children aged 6–9 must ride together with a parent on the SUP board.

Clothes & What to bring

🎒 What to Bring / Recommended Items

  • Comfortable clothes that are easy to move in and can get wet (water-friendly yoga wear is recommended, please wear a swimsuit underneath)
  • Change of clothes
  • Towel
  • Water
  • Sandals
  • Hat (must bring – helps prevent heatstroke)
  • Sunscreen
  • Marine shoes (optional, bring if you have them)

Notes:
All necessary equipment for SUP & SUP Yoga (board, paddle, leash, life jacket) will be provided free of charge. Changing facilities are available.

Time Schedule

1. Check-In (5 min)

Please enter the grounds of Minshuku Yamasou and head to the back to reach the beach.
The check-in area will be set up there – look for the SUP Penguin sign.

Changing facilities are available, but it’s smoother if you come already changed into your yoga/swimwear.

Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your session.


2. SUP Basics on Land (10 min)

Our guide will give you a quick lesson on how to ride and paddle a SUP!
First, let’s master the three basics: go forward, stop, and turn.

Don’t worry if it’s your first time—we’ll guide you carefully so everyone feels safe and confident.


3. SUP Adventure on Lake Biwa (15 min)

Let’s head out onto the vast Lake Biwa and enjoy a relaxing SUP cruise!

  • At first, it’s perfectly fine to paddle while sitting.
  • Once you feel comfortable, try standing up on the board.

Take in the beauty of the endless lake, listen to the sound of the waves, and feel the gentle breeze on your face


4. SUP Yoga Lesson (60 min)

Once you feel comfortable on the SUP, we’ll return to the shore and start the SUP Yoga lesson in shallow water where your feet can touch the bottom.

  • We begin with a gentle warm-up! Even the basic yoga movements feel completely different compared to doing them on a mat on land.
  • As your body loosens up, you’ll try balance poses on the board, stretch deeper using your paddle, and even twist and play in the water—experiencing the unique excitement and thrill of SUP Yoga.
  • Partner poses are perfect for Instagram-worthy photos, and everyone will have fun falling into the water together! That’s the charm of SUP Yoga.

(Our guide will take photos during the lesson and provide all the data for you to keep after the session!)


5. Change & Photo Data

After changing, we’ll give you the photos from your SUP & SUP Yoga session for free—a perfect memory of your summer!
Feel free to share them on SNS too!

If you join a morning session, you can also enjoy a BBQ at Yamasou’s BBQ area afterward!
(The space is available for rent only; please bring your own equipment and food. For BBQ reservations, contact Yamasou directly.)

Cancel Policy

Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel your reservation.

Cancellation fees:

  • 2 days before (after 5:00 PM): 50% of the reservation fee
  • 1 day before, same day, or no-show: 100% of the reservation fee

For changes to the date or number of participants, please also contact us promptly.
Depending on the season and availability, we may not be able to accommodate your request.
Thank you for your understanding.

Weather Conditions & Cancellation of the Experience

The session will take place in light rain, but may be canceled due to bad weather.

Even if the session goes ahead, weather forecasts may change at the last minute.
If we have to cancel after you have already arrived at the site, we apologize, but we cannot cover transportation or other related costs.

If we determine that the session must be canceled due to weather, we will contact you by 5:00 PM, 2 days before the scheduled date.
