SUNNY YOU Yoga Studio (hereinafter referred to as “we” or “the Studio”) establishes this Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as “this Policy”) to define how we handle personal information of users in relation to the services provided on this website (hereinafter referred to as “the Services”).

Article 1 (Personal Information)

“Personal information” refers to the meaning defined under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information. It includes information about a living individual that can identify a specific person from details such as name, date of birth, address, telephone number, contact information, or other descriptions, as well as data related to appearance, fingerprints, voiceprints, and information such as health insurance identification numbers that alone can identify a specific individual (personal identification information).

Article 2 (Methods of Collecting Personal Information)

When users register for our services, we may ask for personal information such as name, date of birth, address, phone number, email address, bank account number, credit card number, and driver’s license number.

  2. If the purpose of use is changed, we will notify users of the new purpose by a method prescribed by the Studio or publish it on this website.

Article 5 (Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties)

  1. Except in the following cases, we will not provide personal information to third parties without the prior consent of the user, except where permitted by the Act on the Protection of Personal Information or other laws and regulations.
    • When it is necessary to protect a person’s life, body, or property and obtaining the individual’s consent is difficult.
    • When it is particularly necessary to improve public health or promote the sound growth of children, and obtaining the individual’s consent is difficult.
    • When it is necessary to cooperate with a national or local government agency, or a person entrusted by them, to carry out affairs prescribed by law, and obtaining the individual’s consent may hinder the execution of such affairs.
    • When the following items have been announced or made publicly available in advance, and we have submitted a notification to the Personal Information Protection Commission:

  2. Notwithstanding the above, in the following cases, the recipients of the information are not considered third parties:

Article 6 (Disclosure of Personal Information)

However, if disclosure falls under any of the following cases, we may withhold all or part of the information. In such cases, we will notify the user of our decision without delay. A fee of 1,000 yen per request will be charged for disclosure.
    • When disclosure may harm the life, body, property, or other rights or interests of the user or a third party.
    • When disclosure may significantly hinder the proper execution of our business operations.
    • When disclosure would result in a violation of laws or regulations.
  2. Notwithstanding the above, information other than personal information, such as browsing history or characteristic information, will generally not be disclosed.

Article 7 (Correction and Deletion of Personal Information)

  1. If a user’s personal information held by the Studio is incorrect, the user may request correction, addition, or deletion of such information (hereinafter referred to as “correction, etc.”) following the procedures prescribed by the Studio.
  2. If we determine that a request from a user under the preceding paragraph should be granted, we will promptly make the necessary corrections, additions, or deletions.
  3. When corrections, etc., are made, or if a decision is made not to make them, we will promptly notify the user of the result.

Article 8 (Suspension of Use, etc., of Personal Information)

  1. If a user requests the suspension of use or deletion of their personal information (hereinafter referred to as “suspension, etc.”) on the grounds that the information is being used beyond the scope of its intended purpose or was obtained through improper means, we will promptly conduct the necessary investigation.
  2. Based on the results of the investigation, if we determine that the request should be granted, we will promptly suspend the use or delete the relevant personal information.
  3. When suspension, etc., is carried out, or if a decision is made not to carry it out, we will promptly notify the user of the result.
  4. Notwithstanding the preceding paragraphs, if suspension, etc., would incur excessive costs or is otherwise difficult, we may take alternative measures necessary to protect the rights and interests of the user.

Article 9 (Changes to the Privacy Policy)

  1. The contents of this Policy may be changed without prior notice to users, except as otherwise provided by laws, regulations, or specific provisions of this Policy.
  2. Unless otherwise specified by the Studio, the revised Privacy Policy will take effect from the time it is posted on this website.
